Make It Right
Cherokee Gives Back, the philanthropic arm of Cherokee, is a principal partner in the Make It Right Project with the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, Graft and William McDonough + Partners. The project is catalyzing redevelopment in New Orleans by building a neighborhood of sustainably built homes with an emphasis on high quality design, while preserving the spirit and culture of the community.

Bhopal Hope
On December 3, 1984, a toxic cloud of deadly gas escaped from the Union Carbide pesticide plant in Bhopal. The exact number of people affected is difficult to estimate, but it was reported that 3,000-7,000 people died immediately after the accident, tens of thousands may still be exposed to toxins, and up to 100,000 people reportedly continue to suffer chronic, debilitating illnesses.
Cherokee Gives Back has made a humanitarian offer to the people of Bhopal. We commit to building a coalition of businesses, organizations and government agencies that share our passion for restoring hope in Bhopal.

Carbon
In 2007, we established a goal to reduce our carbon footprint and we are developing an employee sustainability benefits package that encourages employee participation in activities that reduce pollution.
