Mark Briggs is the Vice President of Public Finance for Cherokee. He has more 39 years of public and private sector experience, starting as a Special Agent and Officer in Military Intelligence in Washington, D.C. followed by service at the Governors' offices in California and Alaska. Prior to joining Cherokee, Mr. Briggs founded Mark Briggs & Associates, Inc., a national community and economic development consulting firm. As a private consultant, he forged more than 250 public/private partnerships across the nation and brought an estimated $1.5 billion in public resources to the programs and projects around the country. Mr. Briggs received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Alaska Methodist University. He has provided urban policy input to several Federal Administrations and is the recipient of a Special Recognition Award from the Western Federal Regional Council and a Certificate of National Merit from HUD. He and his wife Janice live in Irvine, California.
