 Kinny Roper is a Managing Director of Cherokee. Prior to joining Cherokee in 2005, he was a Managing Partner of Brighton Partners, LCC, an Atlanta-based private equity firm. Mr. Roper began his career in commercial lending with the Chemical Bank in New York. Since 1984, he has held Principal/Partner positions with several private equity firms, including Ruddick Investment Company and North Riverside Ventures. In addition, Mr. Roper was an Executive Vice President with BellSouth, where he managed strategic planning and corporate development for BellSouth International and BellSouth Wireless. He is on the boards of Century Fire Protection, LLC and Create Your Dreams, a youth-oriented, non-profit organization in Atlanta. Mr. Roper received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead Scholar. He has one son.
