 John Gallagher is a Managing Director for Cherokee. Mr. Gallagher, who joined Cherokee in 2000, directs the company’s environmental management programs and sustainability initiatives. He has 25 years of management and engineering experience. Mr. Gallagher's background includes consulting to Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions and real estate developers, government service with the U.S. EPA Superfund program, and industrial experience with Eastman Kodak Company. He currently serves as the Board Chair of Sustainable North Carolina, a nonprofit organization promoting sustainable business practices in North Carolina, and he is an editor for the Brownfield News, a publication of the National Brownfields Association. Mr. Gallagher holds an MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a registered professional engineer, and has held special licenses in North Carolina and Massachusetts under their voluntary hazardous waste cleanup programs.
