Site and Landscaping

Materials

  • Built-in areas for recycling
  • More than 50% of office wood products from FSC-certified forests
  • Reuse of more than 60% of the existing building interior
  • Reuse of an existing historic building, which is debatably the greenest building material
  • Diversion of more than 85% of construction and demolition waste from the landfill through recycling and reuse

Indoor Air Quality

  • Green cleaning program with Greenseal certified products often, green building programs pay great attention to low-VOC (volatile organic compounds) products in construction and then use high- VOC products daily or weekly to clean the office
  • Construction indoor air quality program followed to protect workers and future indoor air quality
  • No- or low-VOC paints, adhesives, sealants, composite wood, furniture, and carpet
  • Indoor air quality tested by a third party prior to occupancy to ensure high quality air for employees

Water

  • 80% reduction in faucet water use (0.5 gallons per minute plus automatic sensors)
